With the start of the NHL a little more than a week away the Panthers lost their captain, Alexander Barkov, to a knee injury. With Matthew Tkachuck already out with a lower body injury, the quest of a three peat received a major blow with Barkov's injury.

Damn, ACL/MCL is not good. I wonder if he can come back and be the same guy again, he'll be on the wrong side of 30 when he's trying to get back.

Hockey players are a tough breed, I'm pretty sure he'll be back. The question is will he play like his old self.
