anyway. i think you did some studying of the earth of the past, hence your old name. is there any evidence that the earth is getting smaller? like if a volcano erupts and spews magma everywhere that the land around it sank a bit closer to the core? i should probably just go find out how they actually measure the fact that the sea is rising, but figured i'd just bug you for the heck of it.

if the core is molten and is cooling, then the earth should be shrinking unless it's made of water, then it'll expand as soon as it hits the freezing point, but it's probably not a bunch of steam.

meh, they say that gravity is a 3 dimensional attracting force, yet all the galaxies look like 2 dimensional pancakes. the earth is getting shorter but wider. kinda like most americans. Holy Flippin Pancakes Batman! i really should find better things to do when i'm drinking.

why do they display the solar system in a flat plane. why ain't Uranus's orbit perpendicular to our orbit? what makes it behave like a toilet drain?

its orbit is based on how it reacts to the suns gravational pull and thats why they all go around in a fairly similar way.except pluto and the dwarf planets/asteroids beyond it.

I assume this is due to the matter ending up in those rough spots and over millions/billions of years forming those particular orbits. The planets are all a bit higher or lower than each other and not on a straight line but fundamentally their nott far from it. The reasoning being gravity.


the earth that goes back to the core when a volcano erupts is the same earth that rises to the top and released as magma.
This constant process of contiental drift stops every land mass being weathered flat and the oceans taking over. This constant process i believe along with the huge pressures keep the core molten

The earth i believe in real times would be expanding as gravational pull weakens over time. The moon used to be much closer but gets ever so slightly furthur away over time. which is what we do from the sun. As the gravity on the planet gets weaker the planet may contract ever so slightly as the pressures are lifted. And some people believe expanding universe means expansion within the exsisting universe.


And finally sea levels are rising due to the melting of the polar caps but this is the only time in the last millions of years we have had ice at both caps and no ice age so that is a natural thing in my eyes.
They know this through the measure of polar mass. and the loss of. knowing ice is denser than water less ice means more water.
the actual level is measured through a long term observation in relation to landmarks and then averaged acounting for storms,currents,season,temp its not a brilliant system its called
eustatic sea level

kinda, but i thought that gravity was what made the sun and planets form, so i don't quite understand why it would weaken over time. things should be moving towards each other, not farther apart. unless there's some kinda force being applied that can overcome gravity.

How quickly does the moon move away from the planet, and is this because the suns gravity is effecting/working against the earths gravity?

the gravity decrease as the sun consumes its mass. As the sun burns its fuel it has marginally less mass and once it burns all its fuel it no longer has a mass strong enough to keep object in orbit and they will eventually drift away, colide be picked up by a new force which is why alot of the giant gas planets have so many moons.

The moon moves away at about 4cm a year. And its due to the slingshot effect of tidal change. i dont really get it but its also to do with the different orbits slowing each other down and stuff. i dont quite undertand it fully to explain it well.

theres 3 main theories to this. all assume the big bang

1. All matter explodes outwards eventually all matter is consumed as planets,stars,nebula, dust etc. Once all matter is consumed the universe stops expanding and remains constant recycling the exsisting matter through the birth and death of stars etc.

2. All matter explodes outwards eventually all matter once used exerts a pull on each other pulling everything closer to each other leading to a constant cycle of big bang big squeeze big bang.

3. The universe is ever expanding all matter is eventually consumed and spread over to far a distance for the birth of new stars all light and heat leave the universe everything eventually drifts furthur and furthur away.


or simply draw circles on a ballon that isnt blown up. blow it up they get furthur away. eventually your ballon get tied up and stays pops and goeseverywhere or you let go and it shrinks back to nothing

based on whats widely accepted is the universe is getting bigger and as such things are becoming furthur away. this is measured through red spectrum shift. which over massive distances the red spectrum becomes distorted and elongated consistant with being stretched. The red spectrum is the fastest and lowest or highest cant remember which but is why at dawn and dusk is the first/last colour we see. and blue as the slowest spectrum is why the sky is blue as its the one we see most of. kinda at least
