We needed to invest in a potential number 1 WR after crabtree failed us in the playoffs, which is what our first pick was about. Nothing wrong with picking multiple receivers then cutting them during the offseason. Moss could be good, but he's got so many questions marks, plus his age doesn't do him any favours. Manningham is a number 2 reciever at best, he was not a deep threat like cruz or nicks, but a solid third option. Williams has potential, but definitely isn't there yet. The only threat we had was in Morgan, and we lost him to the redskins.

So ya, we might have a ton of receivers, but we don't have what we need. Teams already know vernon is our only passing threat, and if it stays that way they'll just double team him and shut our offence down. Should have picked fleener or hill in the first, then gotten AJ or a guard. I guess baalke and harbaugh once again know something everyone else doesn't. I like us picking from the pac-10, never gets enough love.
