I am a fan of war books and i have read many about WWII. My favorite writer is Sven Hassel with his collection.

Having a little time to spent i am fooling around trying to give every alliance in this game a certain place in WWII.

This is how may agenda looks atm :

Laf - Germany ( powerfull, well preparred but with their supreme leaders( ex ) fluffed in the head ).
Sol - Russia ( war effective but suffering after Germanys "Blitzkrieg" and politically isolated )
MD - U.K. ( strong but not taking capital decision in time )
Evo - ( U.S.A - joining the war latter after analyzing the situation properly. "Pearl-Harbor needed to make them war").
Sof - Japan ( you don`t wanna mess with their war-skills and kamikaze war-prepared countries )
PDM - France ( i just remember many funny wars PDM fought and they get to be France - i have a grand respect for this alliance for facing a lot of "cheaters" in their history )
LCN - Italy ( politically influenced by "Germany" )

And i am sure i can find more but latter on. What about you?

Imag should be Poland. They are always ready to fight (Polands capital city is Warsaw) but they always get beat and fast. No offense Imag- you just don't have the #s.

Considering how we don't have the military power we used to, Poland is good. Regarding our situation, it is not. We're more like Sweden, former regional power after some decline (I may be biased, but I wouldn't call a 30-35 member alliance beeing equal to say Ottomans or Spain during their peak), neutral in the big war.

Oh, and China was very much so in WW2, they were one of several countries invaded by Japan...

They weren`t military organized. Sure they were invaded by Japan but they never reply the massacre ...

The best fighters in the war (according to their enemy's) so small but still pack a punch and a nation of people who stand up for what the believe in regardless if your an ally or enemy (eg nuclear free = stupid land:land and topfeeding)

"Defeat into Victory" by Field Marshall Viscount Slim. Goes over the Burma campaign, one of my favorites.

Despite the Allies great numbers, they can't bring down the great powers of Germany... You just wait, when the Axis Powers come to light!

He was in German Army, but some of his writing was proved to be indeed Sience Fiction. The problem was that during the time line, he could not be at the same time in 2 different places.

He couldn't participate to "Liquidate Paris" since he was somewhere on the eastern front.

But overall, he was very much involved in that war an the way he`s describing it the best it can ever be ( IMO ).

My favorite Volumes are : The Bloody Road to Death and Legion of the Damned

The Omega is Finland. Push came to shove with Finland and they dug in, did what they had to, and emerged the better for it. When push comes to shove, Omega digs down deep to find the will to move forward and fight on.

Hard to find all the books at the same place - try internet tough. I remember i found them all last summer when i was traveling.
