I was really pissed of when I heard NBC mention this. They seriously need to get their facts straight. The new Shelby 1000 does NOT have the highest horsepower achieved out of a production v8. Highest for a production Mustang? or Ford? or from the big 3? Yes. Highest ever production v8? NO, that belongs to the 1287HP SSC Ultimate Aero.
