well, not entirely... i do have the 7 hard cover Harry Potter books, but i can't seem to buy Harry Potter for my Nook because of Credit Card Discrimination at Pottermore.com. So, i no longer call him Harry Potter. I have dubbed him Sir Hairy Plopper, Knight of The Porceline Throne.

Hairy Plopper. Hairy, Hairy Plopper. Plop, Plop, Whiz, Whiz, Oh What A Relief It Tiz.

i got Tolkien on my Nook, but i ain't allowed to have no Hairy Plopper. crazy beotch.

Or you could just grab the pirated copies which have been floating around on the internet for years.

it has no value if i steal it. technically, it's not really worth all that much as it it, but if i steal it then it's pretty much worthless. just some piece of junk that got stolen that can only be given away to other theives because ain't nobody in their right mind is going to pay full value for stolen property.

Wasn't Hairy Plopper Homers pet pig? Why would anybody want a book about SpiderPig?

i dunno. think i might've watched one season's worth of episodes of the Simpsons. didn't even know that Homer had a pet pig. though i'm fairly certain it would be a keg dressed up to look like a pet pig, if he did actually have one.

i want it on my Nook because then i can archive those books.

So not paying for it somehow reduces its value to 0? It's still the same product, just...free. Microsoft lowered the price of their OS in china to $65 in order to stay competitive. Did that huge price reduction lead to a decrease in the value of their software? It's the exact same software that US people paid $199.99 for (sentence fragment yeah, dunno how to fix that).

I own harry potter 1-6 in hardcover, the 7th came out when I actually grew tired of HP so I just borrowed instead of buying it. I read the final book because I needed the closure. There's no way I'm paying full price (well slightly less than hardcover) for the same e-copies.

But then again, none of the big e-bookstores sell their products in my country. Geo-restrictions ftl. So even if I wanted to, I can't pay for "legal" ebooks.

so, your solution for not being able to buy the product is to steal it? what do you need it for such that you have to steal it?

It's actually copyright infringement. It's not stealing per se. The original product is still there where they left it. (lol)

ok. well, whatever, i'm getting a bit bored with other people's games, so i think i might've decided to start a game of Othello on a 1,000,000 x 1,000,000 grid. or, maybe just work on a computer program that can play it. well, not play it, but provide the interface for it to be played. somebody is probably gonna sue me... hmmm, maybe i should write them and see if i can get permission to do it...

should keep me busy for a while if i actually start playing The Game...
